BB16 Contestant Sajid Khan : Here’s how Arrogance Destroyed his Blooming Career in Bollywood

Filmmaker Sajid Khan, who has been away from the entertainment industry for the last four years, has recently made a comeback in Big Boss season 16. Boycotted in the Bollywood industry, Sajid was accused of sexual misconduct by various actresses, including Saloni Chopra and Mandana Karimi in 2018 during the ‘MeToo movement’. During the premiere of the show, Sajid Khan opened up about his ‘no-work’ phase and about his ‘arrogant’ attitude towards people in the industry that destroyed his career in filmmaking.

Sajid Khan has been a name that has been dragged into a never-ending loop of controversies since the last four years. Sajid’s movie, Hamshakals, proved to be a turning point in his life. It has been downhill for the filmmaker since then. Before the release of the movie, Sajid started boasting about himself endlessly and that’s exactly what got him in trouble. Before his gloomy days, the filmmaker left no stone unturned in boasting about his movies and his domination of the Bollywood industry.

Before the release of Hamshakals, Sajid Khan gave a lot of statements that reeked of his arrogance :

1. “My movies will never be a flop”

Just before the release of Hamshakals, which proved to be a disaster at the box office, Sajid Khan boasted about the movie and claimed that the movie would easily gross an income of Rs150 crore at the box office. The filmmaker gave this statement in front of the media and went missing for a few weeks after the movie tanked miserably at the box office.

2. “It’s impossible for people to get tickets for Himmatwala in the first three days. Shows would be houseful.”

While promoting his movie, Himmatwala, Sajid Khan blindly boasted about the movie and made some really tall claims before the release. The filmmaker was brutally trolled after Himmatwala turned out to be one of the biggest flops in the industry in the last five years.

3.“If people don’t whistle at Ajay’s entry, I will change my name.”

In another episode of blind boasting by the filmmaker, he mentioned that the entry of Ajay Devgan in the movie Himmatwala is so grand that more than 80 percent of the audience in a theatre would whistle, Sajid went ahead and also arrogantly said that if it didn’t happen, he would happily change his name. He even claimed that it would be one of the top three grand entries in Bollywood.

Sajid Khan, who is currently locked inside the Big Boss house, confessed that the success of delivering three back-to-back blockbusters, including Heyy Baby, Housefull and Housefull 2, went to his head and he became extremely arrogant. The filmmaker also confessed that his arrogance was the reason why his career came to an end in the Bollywood industry.

“There’s a saying “failures destroy people.” In my case, success destroyed me,” the filmmaker mentioned during the premiere of Big Boss season 16.
