Ayesha Jhulka Talks About Being ‘Thrown Out of Films’ Back in the 90s; says, ‘Catfights were Blown Out of Proportion’

The catfights between Bollywood actresses in the 90s are quite controversial and famous too. Popular actress of the 90s Ayesha Jhulka talked about the cat fights between the actresses of that era and said that those were “blown out of proportion”.
Ayesha was popular for movies like Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Khiladi, Masoom and others. However, she recently spoke about being thrown out of films and how it hurt her.
Ayesha, during an interview with ETimes, the actress said talked about being ousted from the the 1992 movie Narsimha featuring Sunny Deol and Dimple Kapadia. She said, “Yes, I was pretty put off with the incident. More than anything it hurt me because I had not even begun, and I was thrown out of films. It was quite a controversy, it made it to the headlines, that Ayesha Jhulka was replaced, that hurt me a lot.”
She also added that she thinks it was hyped beyond the obvious. Maybe they were also childish, and sometimes there would be small little things. There wouldn’t be catfights, but there would be complaints to the director or the producer. She thinks it was blown out of proportion.
She also spoke about her bond with Divya Bharti and said that she was very fond of Divya Bharti, and so was she. She used to say ‘I’m in love with you. They were neighbours and would connect often. They also did a film where they played sisters, it was called Rang and were very close, though they wouldn’t meet that often, there was a connection. She added, ‘I did Waqt Hamara Hai with Sajid (Nadiadwala), and she would come to the set and say, ‘Ayesha has to do this film’. Nevertheless, Mamta (Kulkarni) was also in the same film.
Ayesha Jhulka then revealed that she had a “lovely chemistry” with Divya Bharti and that the latter would even buy the same pair of shoes for Ayesha that she used to get for herself. Ayesha Jhulka then termed her and Divya’s bond as a “beautiful friendship.”
