Ayan Mukherjee Spilled Beans About the Brahmastra Sequel, Said: “Dev is the Fulcrum of the Entire Brahmastra Trilogy.”
Ayan Mukherjee mentioned that although the first part of the franchise took about a decade long, the second part of the movie would be released sooner. He revealed that he is aiming to release Part two of Brahmastra, centred around the antagonist dev, in December 2025.

Ayan Mukherjee’s much anticipated attempt at Astraverse has been a massive success. It has played like an ‘Astra’ to revive the Bollywood industry. The movie Brahmastra Part One: Shiva has already become the highest-grossing movie in Bollywood in recent times and has earned a whopping 274 crores worldwide.
The audiences have been showering Ayan Mukherjee’s Brahmastra with all the love, lately. The climax of the movie where the character of Dev, who was poised to be the antagonist, comes alive and has left the fans excited about the second part.
Recently, in an interview with a leading media agency, the director of the movie, Ayan Mukherjee, spilled some beans about the second part of the movie Brahmastra. Although the director chose not to speak much about the sequel, but he hinted at the release of the second part of Brahmastra in 2025, which will be based on the Antagonist Dev.
Since the time the director broke the news, the internet has been on fire. Currently, the internet and all the social media platforms are flooded with speculations about who will play the role of the antagonist-Dev, in the second part of Brahmastra.
Ayan Mukherjee mentioned that although the first part of the franchise took about a decade long, the second part of the movie would be released sooner. He further mentioned that his goal is to come out with the movie in a much shorter period and it is quite possible because the director has already understood the trajectory.
When asked about decoding the character of Dev a bit, Ayan Mukherjee responded “I can answer very few things about Dev. The idea was to create a very clear indication of where we are going next with the storytelling. Now we are really getting into the story of our antagonist. Decoding it, giving you a hook to hang on to for part two. Dev is the fulcrum of the entire Brahmastra trilogy.”
Adding more to the buzz, the director revealed that the second part of the franchise is where the fireworks begin. He asserted that the second part of Brahmastra would be bigger and better than the first part that has been driving people crazy since the time of its release.
The director didn’t reveal much when asked about the casting of the second part of Brahmastra. He laughed and responded “I can’t reveal who Dev is. I have been reading a lot of names, but it will be a mystery for a while.” The internet is divided on two names: Hrithik Roshan and Ranveer Singh.
