Anubhav Sinha’s Upcoming Light & Breezy Rom-Com All Set to Hit the Big Screen on September 16

Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha, who previously gave blockbuster movies like Thappad, Article 15 and Mulk, announces the release of his upcoming movie ‘Middle Class Love’, jointly produced by Sinha’s Benaras Media Works and Zee Studios.

The movie is all set to hit the big screens on September 16. Middle Class Love features new faces in the lead roles, including Kavya Thapar and Eisha Singh.

The movie is directed by Ratnaa Sinha, wife of the filmmaker. Ratnaa Sinha made her debut as a director in 2017 with the movie, “Shadi Mein Zaroor Aana”, led by Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Kharbanda.

Middle Class Love is a quirky college romance story that is centred around feelings and emotions that can be felt by anyone who hails from a middle-class background.

The genre of the movie is romantic comedy. The story revolves around Yudhishthir Sharma, aka, Yudi. Dissatisfied and frustrated with his middle-class family, Yudi makes a plan to escape it and ends up at Oakwood University. The charm of Prit Kamani, the actor playing the character of Yudi is quite overpowering throughout the movie.

In a recent interview, the director of the movie, Ratnaa Sinha gave a brief of the movie and mentioned “It’s the story of a middle-class boy coming-of-age. Coming-of-age in his youth requires a process of going through many stages of love -attraction, realisation, feelings, emotions.”

When asked about her experience of directing Middle Class Love, the director said “The story of Middle Class Love required fresh talent and I am really happy to introduce fresh talent like Prit Kamani, Kavya Thapar and Eisha Singh! They are hardworking actors who have no connections in the Bollywood industry. I am happy to give them a space to prove their talent and conquer the industry with their calibre.”

According to the critics, the eccentric love story, Middle Class Love, is a ‘desi’ version of Karan Johar’s Student of the Year. The newcomers have outshined their roles, but as usual it is the veteran actors like Pahwa who have managed to keep the audience hooked on to the movie. Middle Class Love is a saga of emotions and a right kind of nostalgic hit. The movie would definitely bring some fond memories of your college days to life.
