Actor Armaan Kohli and former Big Boss contestant has been hitting the headlines for bizarre reasons lately. The 41 year old actor was one of the most controversial contestants in Big Boss season 7 and was quite popular for his ugly rivalry with co-contestant, Kushal Tandon. Armaan Kohli was also in the talks for his love angle with Tanishaa Mukherji, in the show Big Boss season 7.

The controversial contestant, Arman Kohli, who was seen getting involved in verbal spats and physical fights quite a lot of times on the show, was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for possession of 1.5 grams of cocaine, in August last year. Arman was also booked for dealing in drugs. According to reports, NCB laid their hands around some strong evidence that suggested Armaan Kohli was a part of the financing and distribution of drugs.

Armaan Kohli has filed for bail multiple times during the last one year but his bail plea was rejected by the court repeatedly. According to a source close to Arman Kohli, the Jaani Dushman actor was directly involved in financing and trafficking of drugs, which made the court reject his bail plea. After struggling for almost one year, The Bombay High Court finally granted bail to the actor on September 20 on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh.

The actor had previously been booked under sexual assault charges by the Mumbai Police. Neeru Randhawa, a fashion stylist, who was in a live-in relationship with the big boss contestant, Armaan Kohli, registered a complaint of physical assault against Kohli. The actor had allegedly grabbed Neeru Randhawa by her hair and banged her head on the floor multiple times. The fashion stylist suffered 15 stitches on her head and was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital.

Furthermore, the hard times are not yet over for Armaan Kohli as the Bombay High Court has decided to re-open the physical assault case that was registered eight years ago by Sofi Hayat, a contestant of Big Boss season 7. Armaan Kohli was arrested in December, 2013 after Sofi Hayat registered a complaint of physical assault against the actor. After eight years, Sofia Hayat received a notice from Bombay Police informing her that the court had decided to re-open the case once again.

Reacting to the court’s decision, Sofi Hayat mentioned that although she had forgiven Armaan Kohli for his toxic behaviour in the show, she would still want to set an example in society. Sofia Hayat also stated that eight years ago, Salman Khan managed to get Armaan Kohli bailed out, but now it’s time for Armaan to pay for his deeds. The actress and model also demanded strict laws to be made for physical assault against women.

The viewers of Big Boss season 7 witnessed Arman’s short temper and his toxic masculinity towards women. From Neeru Randhawa to Sofia Hayat, we’re guessing the controversies have not come to an end even after Arman’s arrest. There’s a lot more to come.
