new features for all UBER customers and drivers!! find out more

Uber India has released a new version that allows drivers to see the travel destinations and pick whether or not they would like to take the journey. This new version was pushed out in response to previous complaints that customers were being charged unethically through the app due to the driver’s actions of delaying response and not cancelling the cab after the journey was denied.

The aggregator also included a capability for drivers to accept long-distance pick-ups, allowing them to accept transport requests from far away. Both the new features—showing the drop destination to the driver and cab booking at remote locations—are already available in 20 cities, with uber planning to expand the service to other cities across the country.

For drivers, Uber announced that they have begun paying drivers on a daily basis from Monday to Thursday, although it has been seen that the driver associations are unhappy with the new platform update.

However, it is important to note that not all Uber drivers have access to the new upgraded capabilities. The upfront destination option is only available to Uber drivers who have met a predetermined trip acceptance level, according to the company.

Furthermore, if the drivers refuse to take the incoming rides, their ratings will suffer, which makes the drivers nervous.

The new function has been implemented to assist riders in booking cabs, especially during times of high demand.
