The Jaguar F-Type will receive a special trim this year to celebrate the brand’s 75th year of producing sports cars

Jaguar will introduce a unique F-Type trim later this year to commemorate the company’s 75th anniversary of producing sports cars. The brand intends to commemorate its internal combustion vehicles, with a focus on the Jaguar F-Type, which will be the brand’s final internal combustion sports car. The nostalgic celebration comes as the company begins on an electrification journey and seeks to expand its inventory of premium electric automobiles.

Thierry Bolloré, the CEO of Jaguar Land Rover, spoke to Auto Express on the brand’s future, saying, “We’ll be celebrating 75 years of Jaguar sports cars in 2023, and the F-Type will be the final Jaguar sports car with an internal combustion engine.” It’ll be a great remembrance of the past. ” Jaguar is going to develop an electric vehicle design that will propel the company into the future of transportation.
Future Jaguar models will be built on a new electric vehicle architecture that is presently in development, and test mules are expected to hit the road soon. Jaguar will lead the brand into an EV-based future with the new platform, with ambitions to sell high-end EVs in the $100,000 price range.
Jaguar has remained largely silent regarding its future ambitions, particularly in regards to electric vehicles. According to Bolloré, it appeared to be non-existent, yet Jaguar was working on a new EV platform while concurrently promoting its new Land Rover Defender 130 three-row SUV.
Jaguar already has one electric vehicle in its inventory, the i-Pace SUV, which will remain in production and help the firm bridge the gap. Electric vehicles will eventually replace the brand’s present internal combustion engine automobiles.
