Maserati unveils Project24, a special edition track-only sports car

The track-only car receives a V6 Nettuno engine to increase its power to 740 horsepower while keeping the Maserati MC20’s characteristics.
New Delhi: Maserati, an Italian automaker, has launched Project24, a codename for a small run of 62 extreme sports vehicles.
The carmaker claims that the track-only vehicle is based on the Maserati MC20 and has a V6 Nettuno engine to increase its power to 740 hp. Along with FIA-approved safety features, it has a carbon-ceramic braking system, racing-tuned tyres, and other features.
For its latest track-only supercar, the Maserati Project 24 is preoccupied with lightweight, with the Trident maker aiming for a dry weight of under 1,250 kilogrammes. The Project 24 has a carbon fibre body and chassis to do this.
The new Maserati car will have a power-to-weight ratio of roughly 1.69 kg/hp with a target weight of less than 1,250 kg.
With its low head, thin horizontal headlamps, very low and substantial splitter element, enormous scooped-out vents on the bonnet, and a giant Trident emblem finishing the look at the front, the new carbon fibre body appears considerably different from the MC20.
The Project24 was totally redesigned by Centro Stile Maserati, according to the business, and will provide a distinctive range of services, such as support and track-specific experiences.
Inside, it has a 6-point racing safety belt, a multi-functional carbon fibre steering wheel, adjustable racing ABS, and traction control, among other things.
A rear-view camera display, telemetry recording, an in-car camera for filming videos, a display that optimises driving performance, and a tyre pressure monitoring system are also available as options.
