Bookings for the Range Rover Sport are now available in India, with deliveries starting in November

Land Rover quietly introduced the Range Rover Sport 2023 in India earlier this week. The brand has now started taking reservations for the SUV. The 2018 Range Rover Sport starts at Rs 1.64 crore and comes in SE, HSE, Autobiography, and First Edition trims (ex-showroom, India). Deliveries of the 2023 Range Rover Sport will commence in November 2022.

The SUV’s exterior incorporates LED light graphics, a larger spoiler, LED headlamps and taillamps, flush door handles, and a sculpted tailgate with Range Rover lettering at the back. According to Land Rover, the new Range Rover Sport has a drag coefficient of just 0.29 thanks to its new design direction.

The premium SUV’s interior features an all-new cabin with a 13.1-inch curved touchscreen Pivi Pro infotainment system and a 13.7-inch HD driver display that mirrors the customisable Pivi system. The infotainment system includes an Alexa capability, which can be accessed by saying “Alexa” or tapping the Alexa icon on the display.

In addition, the 2023 Range Rover Sport gets new safety measures and a boost in off-road capability. The SUV now boasts an integrated chassis control system that handles Dynamic Response Pro electronic active roll control and the switchable-volume air suspension system.

The 48V electronic active roll control with 1,400 Nm torque is designed for use on and off the road. The Range Rover Sport is available with a variety of six-cylinder Ingenium petrol and diesel engines, as well as mild-hybrid technology, a V8 Twin Turbo engine, and electrified powertrains. The all-electric Range Rover Sport will debut in 2024, according to the company.

The new Range Rover Sport is powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine, which is combined with a 105 kW electric motor and a 38.2 kWh battery to produce 510 horsepower. According to Land Rover, the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 5.4 seconds and has a range of roughly 113 kilometres. The SUV’s combined range is 740 kilometres. The Range Rover Sport P440e PHEV’s powertrain produces 440 horsepower and has a similar all-electric range. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds.
