ISSF World Cup: Elavenil, Ramita, and Shreya win gold in the women’s 10m air rifle team

Elavenil Valarivan, Ramita, and Shreya Agrawal won gold in the 10m air rifle team women competition in Baku, Azerbaijan, to give India a good start in the ongoing International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup.
In the gold medal match, the Indian trio defeated Denmark’s Anna Nielsen, Emma Koch, and Rikke Maeng Ibsen 17-5. Poland took bronze in the competition.
Elavenil, Ramita, and Shreya, the former world number one, advanced to the gold medal match following two rounds of qualification on Monday.
The Indian three had previously won qualifying stage one with a total score of 944.4 out of a possible 90 points. They finished second in stage two, behind Denmark, to qualify for the championship round.

In the men’s air rifle team competition, India’s Rudrankksh Patil, Paarth Makhija, and Dhanush Srikanth lost 10-16 to Croatia in their bronze medal match.
The 12-member Indian rifle team is now in fifth place in the medals table, with Serbia dominating the field with two gold medals and four medals overall.
