Karan Johar rang up his 50th birthday with a bang. The filmmaker threw a huge party that was attended by a slew of celebrities. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani, Anushka Sharma, Gauri Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, Shweta Bachchan, Vijay Deverakonda, Rashmika Mandanna, Tiger Shroff, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, and Malaika Arora were among the many celebrities who attended the lavish bash.
While all of the celebs were photographed on the red carpet as they arrived for KJo’s, the party’s indoor photos have also been released on social media. From Kajol to Malaika Arora and ace designer Manish Malhotra, several celebrities dropped an inside glimpse of Karan Johar’s birthday bash. Kajol dropped a picture with birthday boy Karan and wrote, “All teeth, smiles and glitter. Happy happy birthday @karanjohar. Love u.” Raveena Tandon was also seen posing with Saif Ali Khan and Juhi Chawla. In another click, she took a selfie with Rani Mukherji. Manish Malhotra also dropped pictures with Shweta Bachchan, Shanaya Kapoor and Gauri Khan among others.
As for the big birthday bash, it was held at the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. Birthday boy KJo wore a blingy green tuxedo which he teamed up with a white shirt, a bow tie, and a pair of black pants. Previously, the party’s theme was also revealed which was black and bling. On the occasion of his birthday Karan announced a new action film. In a long social media post he wrote,
“I have worked in the movie industry for over 27 years and I’m blessed to have had the best experience ever!!! Telling stories, creating content, nurturing talent and watching the finest artists perform in front of my privileged eye…These years are like being in a massive dream that made all the sleeplessness seem worthwhile! I’m grateful for the brickbats, bouquets, the praising souls, the public trolls…All of it!!! It’s all been a huge part of my learning curve and self growth.”
